Being a cat lover puts us in a unique tribe. We search the internet for like-minded people, often to end up on sites that do not meet our high expectations. That is why I have taken the time to find 5 purrfect cat websites for cat lovers.
As you can tell from my site, I am a cat lover. I have been one for many years now. It is essential for me to connect with other cat-loving people. As discussed in my post “Personality Traits of Cat People- Are You a Crazy Cat Lady?”, cat people share particular world views. Not saying we are all the same but we do have somethings in common. In my search to find like-minded feline enthusiast, I have common across the following sites. I hope that you enjoy them, as much as I do.
Yes, the site is an affiliate blog. In fairness, so is this one. All that means is that the person loves cats so much they wanted to make a career from it. I might be projecting a little there; after all, that is why I started my site.
The site is up-to-date with a post from this month. On this site, there is an active community. It gives you a chance to communicate with people who love cats. You can ask for advice or give advice if you happen to know an answer to someone’s question.
There are post on cat care, tips, and tricks as well as product reviews — the author post personal stories about her felines. There is even a section with pics and videos. This is truly a well-rounded site.
This is another affiliate blog with all kinds of great information. The site is clean and easy to navigate. I found the layout and colors to be aesthetically pleasing. The site is not overrun with ads trying to shove products down your throat.
As I poked around the site, I found an article that lists different websites that would be important to any cat lover. The list included things like pet food reviews and veterinary licensing information.
This website is worth checking out.
What a fun website! On this website, you will find well-written articles. The articles on this site are informational and entertaining. The website is clean and easy to navigate. It is updated often.
This website has such a wide variety of information on things such as behavior, health, care, kittens, and lifestyle in general. There is a newsletter that you can sign up for. There are also forums for sharing news and asking questions, basically connecting with people just like you.
This site is not as professional looking as the others, but it still belongs on this list. The site offers a free ebook on how to train your cat. (Something I am not sure can be done)
The blog offered with the site is up-to-date with the latest blogs being on different cat breeds. My favorite part of the site was the fantastic cat facts found under the quizzes. There is no real community offered with this site. But if you are bored and want to see some random pictures of cats then head on over to mistycats.
This is another well-designed website packed full of cat-related information. Rather, you are looking for articles on health, training, behaviors, breeds, or so on. It is all here under the read tab.
There are several kinds of videos that cover everything from knobby knee sphynx to ridiculous cat products. You can also find a lot of cat-related items in their shop as well.
Unfortunately, the site is lacking a community feel that some of the other sites had. You could always connect with them on social media, but they do not provide any way to connect on their website. I also was disappointed at the number of ads this site has. I felt like the products were pushed. Also, it was mixed into the content which I did not appreciate.
With all that being said, part of all sales do go to help kitties, so that is positive.
There were a few sites I ran across in my research that did not meet the criteria to make the list but are fun.
- cat-bounce.com is a site of still life pictures of cat bouncing up and down. If you are easily entertained, you should head over there and watch the cats bounce.
- A cat-related cartoon strip simonscat.com. If you were a Garfield lover, you should check out Simon’s cat. As a cat owner, you might be able to relate, or at least, be amused.
- Are you a writer and cat lover like me? Then this just might amuse you. writtenkitten.net is a website that rewards you with a cute kitty picture for every 100 words you write. Too cute, right!
